We so excited that you've decided to self-declare yourself as a Work In Progress, affectionately known as a WIP.
Over time, we plan fill this page full of our favorite fitness resources and articles to help you stay focused and motivated between your training sessions.
Here are some of our favorite online tools:
- Body Mass Index (BMI) Calculator: Simply put, BMI is a way to gauge the amount of body fat you're carrying with you and to see if you're at risk of obesity related illness. The Department of Health and Human Serivces has a simple BMI calculator. Just enter your height and weight to measure your BMI against the key provided.
- Calorie-Count: This is a great search engine to take the mystery out of your favorites foods.
- Google Maps: This is a simple tool to help you map and measure (both calories burned and distance) your walking, running and hiking routes.
- CraigsList: Here you can post an ad for a workout partner. Be very specific about what you're looking for and be sure to read the "personal safety tips" and review other postings for ideas.
